Maine Coast Semester: Maine Youth Environmental Leaders Scholarships

Greetings from Chewonki! I'm writing to share some news that might interest
the students that you know. Chewonki is offering two $15,000 Maine Youth
Environmental Leaders Scholarships, to support students from Maine who
would like to join us in 2022-23 for the fall or spring semester of their
junior year in high school.

Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki is a semester-long academically rigorous
residential program based on our campus in Wiscasset, Maine. Learning takes
place in classrooms, in the field, on the coast, at the farm, in the
forest, and on extended backcountry expeditions. More information about our

The Maine Youth Environmental Leaders Scholarship is a $15,000 award that
is granted to two Maine students each year. Successful applicants will be
in the top 20% of their class, have the support of a school or community
leader, have demonstrated an appreciation for the natural world, and
imagine a future creating positive change in their community.

If you know of a good candidate for this scholarship opportunity in your
school or community, please encourage them to apply. The application
