Green Jobs Career Panel: Maine Energy Americorps Program

The Maine Energy AmeriCorps Program (MEAP) will be sponsoring a virtual Green Jobs Career panel on Tuesday, October 26th from 6-7:30pm. MEAP partners with community organizations to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and about energy efficiency and cost savings for Mainers. As part of our service, our AmeriCorps team has the opportunity to present a virtual green jobs education event with a career panel featuring alumni from two University of Maine schools.

Please join us from 6 pm - 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 26 to hear from Jo-Ellen Scribner, University of Maine at Machias Career Services Coordinator, as well as an alumni panel from University of Maine at Farmington and University of Maine at Machias. The panellists will discuss their current work in fields related to energy efficiency, town planning, and land management and explain how their education prepared them for the work they now do from day to day. Attendees will have an opportunity to and are encouraged to talk with and ask the panelists questions. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the growth of green jobs in our state and their importance for helping to sustain the planet!  The event is free and open to the public. We encourage you to share the date with students and others who you think may be interested in pursuing green careers!
