Join the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future on Tuesday, December 7th from 9:00am-11:00am to discuss how environmental and climate justice can help empower Maine’s most vulnerable communities to be more healthy and resilient, and how state agencies can support this. As directed by a new law (link) passed earlier this year, the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future will be convening a series of conversations to help define environmental justice, frontline communities, and other related issues, and to discuss how the state can help communities in Maine adapt to climate change and enjoy the same protection from environmental and health hazards, regardless of class, race, ethnicity, language, and other identities.
